About & Contact
Avery Howe

I grew up in rural Greybull, Wyoming at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. My mom bought me disposable film cameras starting when I was three, and I would fill them up with blurry, thumb-covered photos as fast as I could. In high school I worked for the local newspaper and edited the yearbook, and found a love for community storytelling. In winter of 2022, I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's in photojournalism and a minor in environmental studies.

Environmental stories have been my passion projects the last few years, and I am always open to work in the American west, especially the Rockies. Currently I work for Northern Wyoming News as a staff reporter.

The dog is Margot, my sidekick.
